Liberty Coalition Reps Speak at 15th Annual Second Amendment March

Pro-gun patriots gathered at the Capitol building in Lansing, Michigan recently in support of Second Amendment rights.

The 15th annual rally (hosted by Second Amendment March) saw attendees and speakers form across the state demonstrate their opposition to further gun control being peddled by Lansing’s radical, anti-gun majority.

Michigan passed expansive gun control in 2023 after Democrats seized full control of the state, including “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, a deceptively named “safe storage” law, and a firearm registration scheme disguised as expanded background checks.

These laws eviscerated Second Amendment rights in Michigan, and yet, the radical, gun grabbing cabal that now controls the state is still not satisfied.

In fact, anti-gun leftists are pushing new bans on the carrying of firearms for self-defense.

HB 4127-4128 bans carrying firearms at polling places and ballot boxes, while HB 4149-4150 guts the rights of Concealed Pistol License holders (which are already heavily restricted in Michigan compared to other states).

American Action Fund’s Liberty Coalition Representatives Jim DeSana and Angela Rigas spoke at the podium regarding the threats Michiganders face to their constitutional rights.

In her speech, Rigas also brought up the Constitutional Carry legislation she is sponsoring, HB 4710-4715. Michigan now lags behind well over half the country in affirming citizen’s inalienable right to bear arms.

A whopping 28 other states now have some form of Constitutional Carry, otherwise known as permitless carry, on the books while Michiganders are forced to jump through bureaucratic hoops and risk falling afoul of the law if they exercise their Second Amendment rights.
