Idaho Freedom Foundation Details Bold Plan to Cut Taxes
By AAF | Oct 3, 2024
As Bidenomics wreaks havoc on the wallets of Americans nationwide, many are scrambling to find answers to their financial woes. Inevitably, the discussion constantly circles back to getting the government away from your money.
The Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF) explains one way to do this is to eliminate property taxes.
Isn’t it crazy how you could spend 30 years paying off your house and still not truly own it? After all, if you forget to pay your property taxes, the government will sell your home out from under you!
Fred Birnbaum with the IFF showed how exercising restraint with state tax revenue could leave plenty of room for eliminating the property tax in the Gem State.
In a separate write-up, Ron Nate, former Hazlitt Coalition member and current leader of the IFF, states the obvious but necessary fact that cutting spending is an essential prerequisite for tax cuts. He writes:
“One of the favorite phrases of conservative budget hawks in the Idaho Legislature is “starve the beast.” What they mean is that if you want to control or even reverse outrageous government growth, then you need to stop appropriating (spending) so much money. Government agencies will always find a way to spend more money once the Legislature feeds their accounts (with your tax dollars).”
Tax relief is possible. Slashing government programs is possible. Restoring economic sanity is possible.
However, these things will only happen if grassroots patriots mobilize to demand it. That is why American Action Fund (AAF) exists.
