With all eyes on the upcoming November elections and 2025 just around the corner, now is a great time to reflect on some of the numerous victories of American Action Fund and our Hazlitt coalition members across the country.
Victories began with Constitutional Carry legislation in both South Carolina and Louisiana, allowing law-abiding citizens to carry firearms without government permission or fees.
Not to be outdone, Wyoming passed pro-gun legislation banning Red Flag Gun Seizures, unconstitutional laws used in numerous states to circumvent Due Process and take firearms away from people without even giving them a day in court.

The successes of 2024 didn’t just end with guns. Arizona waged war on the administrative state, putting an end to some regulatory agencies, occupational licenses, and excessive regulations.
Private property rights were also a major issue in a year that saw Oregon and Idaho ban Home Equity Theft, an aggressive seizure policy in which families lose their entire property for even minor outstanding tax issues.
In West Virginia, the rights of property owners were codified, clarifying that squatters are not legal tenets and therefore have no legal rights to trespass on property.
And the list doesn’t stop there. Throughout the country, Hazlitt Members have used their vote to further the cause of liberty, passing pro-liberty bills like those outlined above, amending existing bills to a pro-liberty position, reducing taxes, and eliminating regulations.

Clearly, 2024 was a fruitful year for Hazlitt Members across the country, in American Action Fund’s continued fight to spread liberty through healthcare, education, the economy, civil liberties, and limited government policies.
With successes like these, it’s hard not to be excited about 2025.
Of course, that’s only half the story of 2024. The fight for freedom also includes killing bad legislation, so keep your eyes out as AmericanActionFund.org, our various social media accounts, and our emails highlight the anti-liberty bills killed in 2024.
