Dear Lawmaker,
As an Ohio taxpayer I am disappointed to hear that you passed the budget while including $600 million dollars in funding to build a professional sports stadium in Cleveland.
I’m even more disappointed to hear that the funds to pay for this program are going to be stolen from the unclaimed property of regular Ohioans.
If a football team wants a new stadium, they should build it with their own money!
The State of Ohio should not be taking money from hardworking Ohioans and using it to bankroll special interest projects for multi-billion dollar sports teams.
As an Ohio taxpayer, I demand that you stop prioritizing corporate welfare and special interest projects over the fiscal well being of this state and the rights and liberties of its citizens.
