Dear Rapid City and Pennington County Officials,
I urge you to stop the planned expansion of the Pennington County Jail.
This $168 million project will put a massive burden on local taxpayers for decades to come.
We should not be building more cells for people charged with nonviolent, victimless offenses.
This project is financially reckless, morally misguided, and fundamentally unnecessary.
Please reject the jail tower expansion.
