This session was a complete failure when it came to property tax relief. Instead of delivering meaningful change, legislators allowed gridlock and weak leadership to block real solutions — while families, farmers, and small business owners continue to suffer under an unjust system.
Property taxes are not something that can be “reformed” around the edges. They are fundamentally immoral — forcing South Dakotans to rent their homes and land back from the government year after year.
Property tax must be abolished.
Governor Rhoden’s Senate Bill 216, which some tried to sell as “relief,” didn’t go far enough.
South Dakotans deserve real leadership — not excuses, not half-measures, and not betrayals dressed up as progress.
I urge you to take a stand:
Reject any bill that fails to eliminate the property tax altogether.
Stand up to the bureaucrats and lobbyists protecting the status quo.
Fight for real ownership and real freedom for South Dakota families.
We are watching, and we will remember who stood tall — and who caved under pressure.
American Action Fund will keep me informed of your actions.
