At a time when rogue prosecutors ran rampant, using the law to punish political opponents, Kamala Harris was proud of her history as California’s Attorney General.
Let’s reflect on what she has done and what she may do again.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard took Harris to task on her record in 2020, pointing out some of the most horrific actions Harris took.
Yesterday Kamala Harris was community noted for saying she’s against jailing people for marijuana when she built her career doing just that. In an anti-truth effort, the note was removed. So here is Tulsi Gabbard going hard on Kamala’s record back in 2019pic.twitter.com/jOiOWnYgAD

“She blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so,” Gabbard stated.
“She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.”
Another observer of Harris’s abysmal record stated, “She backed expanded asset forfeiture, where police confiscate property even if the owner wasn’t convicted of a crime.”
In contrast, members of American Action Fund’s Liberty Coalition fight consistently to protect the innocent from having their property stolen by law enforcement through civil asset forfeiture.
Abuse of power is not law and order.
Lawfare is not criminal justice.
Not only was Harris terrible at carrying out justice for Californians, she also spearheaded the defense of California’s draconian donor disclosure law that would have forced nonprofits to turn over a list of their donors to the state, infringing on the First Amendment freedom to associate.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court overturned this law despite Harris’s objection.
Members of AAF’s elite Liberty Coalition work every year to enact new policies to protect innocent Americans from overzealous prosecutors like Harris.
Kentucky State Rep. Savannah Maddox sponsored commonsense House Bill 327 in 2020, which requires a person’s criminal record to be expunged if they are acquitted or their case is dismissed.
House Bill 144, also sponsored and passed by Liberty Legislators in Kentucky in 2023, protects landowners from warrantless searches and surveillance of their private open land.
American Action Fund remains vigilant in guarding the rights of innocent Americans from government bullies who would wield their power unjustly.
