State Senator Thrown to the Ground and Arrested for Defying House Speaker’s Tyrannical Decree

By AAF | Jan 16, 2025

Today in Georgia, liberty champion legislator Sen. Colton Moore, was tossed to the ground as he attempted to attend the Georgia State of the State address. One would never think this type of tyranny would happen to an elected official in America, but here we are.

The lawfare that has exploded has been a big wakeup call, alerting people of the creeping totalitarianism occurring even in red states. Now, things continue to escalate to new heights.

What started as a political spat that intensified to legislative letters being sent, turned into Sen. Colton Moore being tossed to the ground and arrested for simply trying to do his job.

The background in this saga all started in the spring of last year when Sen. Colton Moore gave an impassioned speech calling out the corruption of former Speaker David Ralston. The gist of the speech was that Ralston, a lawyer, used his position of power as Speaker to game court dates to delay trials for decades protecting his clients and collecting massive fees.

This classic case of corruption could have ended there. But in a bizarre twist, the new, now current Speaker, Jon Burns, took exception for daring to call out the corruption of Ralston. He went so far as to ban Sen. Colton Moore from the House floor.

But here’s the rub. Constitutionally, both houses of the Georgia legislature convene for the annual State of the State address. Corrupt Speaker Jon Burns sent a letter on Tuesday, Jan. 14th, 2025 stating he wanted to remind Sen. Moore he’s banned from the House floor.

Liberty warrior Sen. Colton Moore shot back with his own letter citing the Georgia constitution, state law that he has a duty and right to the proceedings.

Then came the tossing.

Sen. Moore sought to enter the chamber today for the State of the State address. He was met by being physically being blocked by what appeared to be legislative staff flanked by police. When he tried to walk around the apparent staff, he was pushed upon until he was literally tossed to the ground.

Sen. Colton Moore isn’t any average liberty fighter. He’s an ally of President Donald Trump. Here is a video of Trump praising Sen. Moore for his fight in Georgia.

It’s unclear what is going to happen from here on a legal front but the political front has come into view. Speaker Jon Burns MUST apologize. Groups, including American Action Fund, and individuals all over the country are calling for Burns to apologize and stop silencing conservatives.
