Trump case dismissed a month after Congressman Massie questions DOJ on constitutionality

By AAF | Jul 17, 2024

Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed a case against Donald Trump, ruling that Biden’s Justice Department infringed on Congress’ authority when it appointed special counsel Jack Smith to investigate the former president.

The FBI raided Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 as part of their investigation.

Last month, Congressman Thomas Massie questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland on this matter, pointing out that Jack Smith was not appointed by the President or confirmed by the Senate.

“So, what gives you the authority to appoint a special counsel – to create, you’ve created an office in the U.S. government that does not exist without authorization from Congress,” Massie stated in the June hearing.

Trump stated of Monday’s decision: “Let us come together to END all Weaponization of our Justice System, and Make America Great Again!”

This is yet another example of the U.S. justice system being weaponized against political adversaries to maintain the power of the establishment.

Thankfully, our justice system ensured a positive outcome for this case; however, patriots must continue with the work of eradicating unconstitutional offices and eliminating unnecessary bureaucracies at all levels of government.
