School Choice Allows Parents to Shield Their Children

As woke activist administrators continue oozing their twisted ideology into the veins of public school systems across the country, an increasing number of parents are choosing a different route.
Instead of focusing on the basics of education, many schools are determined to indoctrinate students with their leftist agenda, which is why the number of homeschoolers is rising while enrollment in the public schools is declining.
This is another reason states must adopt solid school choice legislation, equipping parents with the ability to choose how and where their children are educated.
A true school choice bill will ensure that:
- Every child is eligible to participate
- Parents can easily navigate the system
- Homeschooling is protected from government overreach
- Public schools are required to disclose their curriculum
- It does not increase the size of government.
Unfortunately, most school choice bills fall short of this commonsense standard because politicians have a hard time letting go of control and empowering parents.
As one school choice proponent put it: “When parents can choose where and how their children will be educated, they’re no longer at the mercy of politicians and bureaucrats.”
