Wyoming’s Liberty Revolution: How the People Crushed the Establishment and Took Back Their State

Last year’s elections sent shockwaves through Wyoming’s political landscape. The people rejected the entrenched establishment, electing a pro-liberty majority to Cheyenne determined to return power to its rightful owners—the citizens.

Education Savings Accounts expanded from $6,000 to $7,000, charter school restrictions crumbled, and homeschooling rights gained permanent protection. When the Governor attempted to push through a bloated ~$700 million supplemental budget on top of an already wasteful $10 billion two-year budget, Wyoming’s liberty champions stood firm. Thanks to their efforts, the Legislature refused to pass a supplemental budget at all, marking a major victory against government excess.

Wyoming’s pro-liberty leaders didn’t stop there. They passed bills repealing gun-free zones, prohibiting DEI mandates, and supporting sound money policies. These victories sent a clear message: the days of establishment control are over.

American Action Fund played a crucial role in these triumphs, mobilizing Wyoming’s grassroots through 300,000 texts, 49,000 emails, 50,000 mailers, and nearly 5,000 phone calls. Their relentless outreach flooded legislators with demands for action and to resist the pressure from the bureaucrats and RINOs to cave.

Grassroots activists, with the support of American Action Fund, are making Wyoming a model for liberty, proving that bold, grassroots-driven victories can transform a state into a Liberty Lighthouse. While there is much more work to be done to slash government and restore liberty in the Cowboy State, Wyoming’s triumphs in property tax relief, school choice, and fiscal responsibility serve as a blueprint for other states seeking to reclaim their independence from bloated government and entrenched elites.
