RINOs Partner with Democrats in Power Move to Take Texas House

Texas conservatives ran a victory lap after forcing RINO Dade Phelan out of the race for Speaker of the House.

As Speaker, Phelan appointed Democrats to chair powerful committees and spearheaded the fight to crush conservative priorities such as school choice.

So forcing him out of the race for Speaker was a HUGE victory for freedom that was one with tremendous outcry from the grassroots.

Unfortunately, this victory was short lived. Phelan’s understudy, Dustin Burrows, is teaming up with liberal Democrats to strip power from Rep. David Cook who was nominated by the House Republican Caucus to be the next Speaker.

If successful, this dangerous alliance will compromise the conservative principles Texans voted for.

For too long, Republican leaders in Texas have given away critical committee chairmanships to Democrats in exchange for political power, weakening our ability to advance a conservative agenda.

This has led to:

• Blocked conservative legislation that Texans overwhelmingly support, such as measures to pass school choice, end taxpayer-funded lobbying, protect parental rights, and limit government overreach.
• Liberal Democrats wielding outsized influence, despite being in the minority.
• Betrayals of trust by RINO lawmakers who are more interested in political deals than fighting for their constituents.
